Lovely town of Emilia Romagna region in northern Italy
The lovely town of Guastalla is situated approximately 30km from Reggio Emilia, Parma and Mantova.
Guastalla is an old town which dates back to the 9th Century. With cobblestone streets, a church with bell tower and amazing views the town is well worth a visit. Guastalla is small, with a population of 15,000, and has a great quality of life.
Elegance meets friendliness
Guastalla is an elegant town. The main structure of the town still shows the influence from its golden era when it was the property of the powerful Ferrante Gonzaga. His statue presides over Piazza Mazzini; in front of the town hall, the Ducale palace and the town's main cathedral.
Enjoy perambulating the 'Via Gonzaga' and meeting the locals. They are famous for their friendliness and are considered especially outgoing and amiable by the rest of their fellow Italians. Whenever you need help they will try their utmost to assist you.
